I can’t think of a clever way to start this little blurb I’m about to write, so I will just get right into it.

Tonight, with my friend Koron, I am closing the dusty and battered book that is clan Dark Omen.  After almost 4 years of playing, nonstop, it is time for us to join the ranks of the other deceased TFC clans. So with a sad face, :[, I am officially declaring clan Dark Omen dead.

 A brief history:

Clan DO was started in May of 2000 by some guy (Reza) who left appx. a month later (the beginning of the curse).  InnerFury and Jacar took over as the official leaders at the helm, and lead us up the ranks of OGL and STA.  Eventually we ended up in the top tiers of STA and OGL during their primes (back when all the good clans were still in OGL).  Koron and I eventually promoted ourselves to leaders because we were that cool.  Our peak was the entire year of 2002.  After that, interest in TFC died down among some of our members, and some of the classics retired.

From there on out DO was constantly in transition, getting whored on a monthly basis, and moving awkwardly between the top two tiers of our leagues in effort to stay competitive.  Players were using us as a stepping stone to get into top clans, and it easily was the most frustrating part about this game. Almost every week we played our opponent would have someone on their team who was once in DO.  It was like that all the way up to our disbanding this evening.  In the past 2 months we suffered some of the most disappointing member losses ever.  If you want to know why DO died, as many were asking in the channel tonight, look to yourself or one of your TFC friends, because I almost guarantee you know someone affiliated.

Grudges and piss off’s aside, we had a great run.  Koron, Fury, and I basically grew up playing TFC, going through high school, now we are all in college.  We feel like dinosaurs now and it’s time to move on, whether it be to another clan, another game, or moving on in life.  We have all met some of the coolest people playing TFC, and had some great, memorable times in game.

I’d like to thank a couple of clans and organizations for contributing to these good times:

so ive been playing alot recently.  we've had some pretty good matches.  we beat mH on pitfall, a solid win.

tonight we played TDA on the same map.  round 1 close, with TDA coming out on top 20-0.  round 2 we needed to cap, and we came out with 40 points, but TDA dismantled our D this round and came out with 90.  final was 110-40 TDA.  highlight of the match is ev0 coming away from round 1 with a mighty score of -1 - 88.  he owns.

on thursday we played TCK on CZ.  i wasnt there for this because i took the weekend to goto orlando.  anyway we won by about 100 points i think (it should be noted that TCK played short).  after round 1 STEAM crashed or some shit for everyone and no one could play, so we are finishing the match this thursday.

In other news....

DO is taking a new stance against people who whore us.  I will no longer tolerate it, and if you are an older member you should be warned that it will be even worse for you.  If you choose to whore us be prepared to be treated like shit anytime I see you, I will also rally the rest of the clan behind me, and they will hate you also.  So if you are one who doesn't like to have enemies, whoring us is not wise.

New to the blacklist this month:

Mikki Moore

Azrael (belated)

from a social point of view they are now on the level of koron.

have a good week!

We had a great come back tonight.

Round 1 we tried an engineer and a spy for most of the round..didn't really work. Spy could never get the scrum (finally switched about 20 mins in) and engy wasn't too successful at stopping scrums.

Round 2 we decided to all out push them back into their base, controlling the middle for nearly the entire match, with a few scrums put in there.

I was lagged out for probably a good 15 minutes intermittently because VT's network appears to be having hiccups, yet we somehow still managed to get scrums.

good game

lost a close match with AGT tonight, round 1 was 120-100 AGT, round 2 was 180-160 AGT, final 300-260 AGT - map was torch2 - this is notoriously one of our worst maps but thats no excuse, hopefully with some of the old timers coming back we can get back into the top competition

anyway gg AGT
